Carlos De Orduna , MD (Medical Director)

Dr. Carlos De Orduna is a highly experienced physician and Medical Director at Vitalia Medical Centers, bringing more than three decades of clinical, academic, and leadership experience in family medicine, internal medicine, and metabolic health.

Board-certified in Family Practice, Dr. Orduna has dedicated his career to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across a wide range of healthcare settings, including private practice, community medical centers, hospitals, and military service. He has cared for thousands of patients throughout Florida and Puerto Rico, with extensive experience in both outpatient primary care and inpatient medicine, including critical care environments such as the ICU and CCU.

In addition to his clinical background, Dr. Orduna holds a Master’s Degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine from the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine. He is also board-certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, reflecting his strong focus on preventive care, metabolic health, longevity, and lifestyle-based medicine.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Orduna is deeply committed to serving diverse patient populations with cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and respect. As Medical Director of Vitalia Medical Centers, he provides clinical leadership, oversight, and a steadfast commitment to excellence in patient care.

Dr. Orduna proudly served in the United States Army, including active duty as an Internal Medicine Specialist during Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia, as well as service with the Puerto Rico National Guard as a Battalion Surgeon. His military and hospital experience has shaped his disciplined, evidence-based, and compassionate approach to medicine.
